Job description
Job Title: Deputy Manager (Insurance
Accounting)
Location: Mumbai / Pune /Bangalore
Notice period: Looking for Immediate joiners only

Candidate Expectations:
Candidate with minimum 8 years’ experience in
accounting field, preferably in the insurance/reinsurance accounting sector
with experience in working through remote servers.
CA Qualified with post qualification of
minimum 8+ years
B. Sc degree from a reputed university with a
specialization in accounting will be an added advantage.
ACA/ACCA or ACMA qualification or equivalent.
Knowledge of the international
insurance/reinsurance market and regulatory environment.
Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP, including an
understanding of insurance/reinsurance accounting standards.
Experience and current working knowledge of
reporting from general ledger systems.
Key roles & responsibilities:
Providing accounting and administrative
services to a portfolio of reinsurance clients, including accounting for
insurance and reinsurance contracts and investments, payment of monthly
expenses, maintenance of cashbooks, preparation of timely and accurate
financial statements and management reports, as well as supporting schedules
and analysis in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
Build and develop relationships with client
personnel and service providers to better identify and understand client needs
Demonstrate an excellent understanding of
client deadlines and requirements
General ledger processing, including journal
entry posting
Assist with research on latest accounting
standards such as GAAP and IFRS
Assist with audit process of company and its
clients
Electronic filing of documentation
Follow all policies and procedures in
accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations and risk control standards
Other responsibilities as needed to ensure
quality client services
