Job description
Job Title: DM/AGM – Finance - Chennai
Job Overview: The
DM/AGM Finance plays a pivotal role in steering the financial health of the
organization. This role is responsible for overseeing financial operations,
ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting strategic planning, and driving cost
efficiencies. The incumbent will collaborate closely with senior leadership to
deliver accurate financial insights, optimize resource allocation, and
implement robust financial systems and controls.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare
and present financial reports including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow
statements.
·
Ensure
compliance with statutory regulations and internal financial policies.
·
Lead
the financial planning and budgeting process across departments.
·
Identify
and implement cost-saving initiatives targeting 7–10% operational cost
reduction.
·
Build
and maintain relationships with banks, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
·
Analyze
financial performance metrics and deliver monthly forecasts.
·
Oversee
implementation and enhancement of financial systems and internal controls.
·
Support
strategic decision-making through detailed financial modelling and analysis.
·
Coordinate
and support internal and external audits.
·
Mentor
and develop junior finance team members.
Skills & Attributes:
·
Strong
analytical and financial modelling skills.
·
Deep
understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, and compliance frameworks.
·
Proven
ability to manage budgeting cycles and cost optimization strategies.
·
Excellent
communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
·
High
attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
·
Proficiency
in ERP systems and financial software.
·
Leadership
qualities with a collaborative and mentoring mindset.
·
Ability
to drive process improvements and manage change effectively.
·
Education: Chartered Accountant
(CA) / Cost Accountant (CMA) / MBA in Finance
