Job Description:
Seeking an experienced and certified medical coder specializing in Emergency Medicine (EM), Inpatient (IP), Outpatient (OP), and Surgery with proven team lead experience. The candidate will handle accurate coding, ensure compliance with guidelines, support audits, and lead a team to meet quality and productivity standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Code EM, IP/OP, and Surgery charts using? CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS.
Ensure coding compliance and accuracy.
Lead, mentor, and support a team of coders.
Review documentation and resolve coding discrepancies.
Stay updated on payer policies and industry regulations.
Requirements:
6+ years of relevant medical coding experience.
Certified: AAPC or AHIMA.
Team lead or supervisory experience required.
